On the other blog (and no, Ann, I haven't posted an entry there in a while - I just check up on my other friends' blogs there), the writer's block question was:

"Which song lyrics send shivers down your spine and really hit you emotionally?"

A lot. As much as I love 80s pop, hip hop/rap, you see a different side of me when I think of the songs I like due to the lyrics.

THE BIG ONES:

--> Pink "Most Girls" - totally the song that defines me as a person, the person that never fits in with other women. "I'm not every girl, and I don't need that world to validate me."

--> Rick Springfield "Affair of the Heart" - sample lyrics: "Don't try to tell me that it's all just physical, it goes much deeper than that."

--> Third Eye Blind "Jumper" - sample lyrics: "I wish you would step back from that ledge, my friend, you could cut ties with all the lies you've been living in."
